Public bug reported:

Because of bug #982889 , the lightdm is starting now later, when the
event "plymouth-ready" is emitted.

In order to provide a better user experience, I think we could provide a
fake plymouth-theme which would update the lightdm greeter.

The login screen would appear faster for the user.

For the progress information, the graphical element could appear one after the
other, step after step. For example :
1. background
2. top panel
3. top panel with a few buttons
4. top panel with last buttons
5. login invite

Each graphical element could appear when it is available (for example,
the hostname when the hostname has been configured, etc).
