It seems that since this fix, it is no longer possible to edit 
/etc/network/interfaces using commands in the %post section of the Kickstart 
file.
I used to be able to do that to add secondary interfaces and additional 
IP-addresses to the file, however now my changes changes seem to be  
overwritten.

Would it be possible to modify your solution so that it writes out
/etc/network/interfaces before post-installation commands are run?
