Public bug reported: When I drag certain files on the desktop the system attempts to copy the file rather than reposition it. The error is generic: "Error while copying “/”."
It seems that the offending files are .desktop files. I upgraded today from 13.04, which did not suffer from this bug. If I try to move a .desktop file on the Desktop it defaults to copy (as if I'm holding down the ctrl key while dragging). I made screen capture video located at http://youtu.be/SDZX18jFTDA. Other files can be repositioned without a problem. System Info $ lsb_release -a No LSB modules are available.
