Tom - This bug report is regarding Gutsy Gibbon, the development release of Ubuntu, and subsequently applies to a different kernel version, 2.6.22, than the version of the kernel you are using. Please submit a new bug report regarding your issue using linux-source-2.6.20 as the source package and provide the information required from https://wiki.ubuntu.com/DebuggingACPI . Alternatively, if you could test with using the Live CD environment of Gutsy Gibbon, downloadable from http://www.ubuntu.com/testing/ , that would be ideal.
