duplicate of bug 1247221, so it is being marked as such. Please look at

can provide. Additionally, any further discussion regarding the bug

You can workaround this issue by following the steps below:
1. Open Edit - Preferences
2. Uncheck option 'Show hidden and backup files'

That should make Nautilus remember the show hidden files setting toggled
via Ctrl+H or View->Show hidden files.
