Public bug reported: When installing 14.04 LTS on an HP laptop PC Pavillion dv6, it boots from the DVD, shows the screen with the keyboard symbol at the bottom and then the screen goes blank. DVD activity continues for a bit and then the activity stops and the laptop is unresponsive.
