Hrm.. I noticed that the boot entry ( before the firmware botches it all up ) seems to be pointing to the wrong partition. While installing, can you make sure that it is in fact, /dev/sda2 that is mounted in /target/boot/efi, and not sda1? Also could you run sudo grub_probe --device-map= --target=drive /target/boot/efi?
