Hello! Regarding the (complete) failure of the mic-key-test with the last kernel tested (v3.11.10.6-saucy), I can tell you that the situation has not deteriorated with the 14.04 Ubuntu-live beta version kernel; but it didn't get better with it, either.
When started from a stick, the mic-key LED(!) worked (again), as it does now with the version 13.10 standard kernel, but the key itself doesn't seem to accomplish anything.
