Looks like the jbofihe binary [1] was originally built for 10.04, at least for most architectures. So that seems to be unchanged. The only direct dependency it has is glibc. I haven't really looked into how easy/tricky it would be to install a newer version of glibc on older releases to see how it affects this issue, though.
