I noticed the same problem when I started using the Gnome Team PPA to try Gnome 3.10 on Saucy. After upgrading to Trusty, I was expecting the problem to resolve itself, but it didn't. Seems some of the Gnome Team PPA stayed on my system after upgrading to Trusty.
The gnome-settings-daemon did not upgrade when I upgraded to Trusty. Strangely the gnome-settings daemon in Trusty is version 3.6 while the Gnome Team version is 3.10. But somehow the version 3.6 seems linked to the right glib library and doesn't give me the 'uuu' error in #39 above. Forcing the "downgrade" of gnome-settings-daemon only to the version in Trusty seems to fix the fn keys problem for me, but there is no on screen indicator of increasing/decreasing the volume as I had in Saucy. Not sure why the versions of gnome-settings-daemon seem to be all over the place. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1217196 Title: Keyboard shortcuts not working with GNOME 3.9.90 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu-gnome/+bug/1217196/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
