It doesn't add the job number; it replaces the document name with a job number, which is why it's not an acceptable default.
Also, as already said, most users WANT newer versions to overwrite older documents. Anyhow, we are already sending output to a folder that acts as a virtual "PDF inbox", from where users are expected to move the file to their preferred location.
