Last week I updated to Gutsy and -- yes -- I still have the same error
(it persisted all over my feisty time, too). Or even worse: Trying to
play a video file from the command line I get:

This info_helper entries only appear because I changed LC_ALL="C".
Forget them.
So it seems like the is the bad guy ... and it does not seem to be an
issue of plugins because I tried it with various video formats -> all
the same. By the way: mplayer and totem show the same problem, kaffeine
just plays the sound with a black screen.
Do you think it is necessary filing a bug report against xinelib?
