Public bug reported:

On a fresh Ubuntu 14.04 beta2 install, I did

> sudo aptitude install steam
> steam

Which failed to start. The error has scrolled away in my console now,
but it was very similar to this error:
http://askubuntu.com/questions/421167/libgl-error-couldnt-dlopen-
libudev-so-1-or-libudev-so-0-driver-detection-may :

> libGL error: Couldn't dlopen libudev.so.1 or libudev.so.0, driver detection
> may be broken.
> steam: ../../../../src/loader/loader.c:129: asserted_dlsym: Assertion
> `result' failed.

After doing as that link suggests and installing libudev1:i386 , steam
worked.

** Affects: steam (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New

** Package changed: gallery2 (Ubuntu) => steam (Ubuntu)
