Public bug reported:

something in the kernel probably broke powertop power estimate since
12.04, it's showing probably exactly 1/10th (rounded) of the actual
estimate, compared to gnome-power-statistics:

Power usage (ACPI estimate): 0.7W (55.6 hours) (long term: 8.8W,/3.8h)

g-p-s shows 6.7W at the same time

** Affects: powertop-1.13 (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
