As I just read at http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=532424 it should be possible to compile alsa by hand and then exchange the snd- hda-intel.ko file in
/lib/modules/2.6.22-10-generic/ubuntu/media/snd-hda-intel/ through the snd-hda-intel.ko file which was created in /lib/modules/2.6.22-10-generic/kernel/sound/pci/hda by compiling the source and sudo make install-modules, respectively I didn't try this solution but I think it should mentioned here. Although it becomes clear now that the problematic package is apparently linux-ubuntu-modules Frank -- "Realtek 861 sound broken on kernel 2.6.22-10.30" https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/134146 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
