Yes, it is the same on both Feisty (using default OOo 2.2.0 and the
current alpha of Gutsy (using OOo Developer 2.3.0).  Those installing
the standard OOo package report no problem (replacement does work), and
I have also confirmed that it works fine on the current Windows version.
This issue appears to be Ubuntu specific and it makes collaborating with
Windows users difficult to impossible.

If both the original and the replacement font exist and are installed on
the system, the replacement rule works.  However, if the original font
is not installed and instead is simply typed into the first box, the
replacement will not work.  I even tried with two installed fonts (which
worked) and then uninstalled the first one and it stopped working.

It really defeats the purpose and is obviously a bug since other
platform versions operate correctly.
