Yes, it is the same on both Feisty (using default OOo 2.2.0 and the current alpha of Gutsy (using OOo Developer 2.3.0). Those installing the standard OOo package report no problem (replacement does work), and I have also confirmed that it works fine on the current Windows version. This issue appears to be Ubuntu specific and it makes collaborating with Windows users difficult to impossible.
If both the original and the replacement font exist and are installed on the system, the replacement rule works. However, if the original font is not installed and instead is simply typed into the first box, the replacement will not work. I even tried with two installed fonts (which worked) and then uninstalled the first one and it stopped working. It really defeats the purpose and is obviously a bug since other platform versions operate correctly. http://www.oooforum.org/forum/viewtopic.phtml?p=244773#244773 http://qa.openoffice.org/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=80965 -- Openoffice.org 2.0.2-2ubuntu1 in Dapper fails to make "fonts replacement" work. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/52926 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
