I've installed the latest upstream kernel on the Chromebook
(v3.13.6-031306-generic). Unfortunately, it did not fix the problem with
the touchpad. I've attached updated debugging info for the new kernel.

In case it's relevant, I'll also mention that after installing the new
kernel I see the message "[ 1.834054] usb 2-4: string descriptor 0
malformed (err = -61), defaulting to 0x0409" when the machine boots.
