I am experiencing this bug too. I installed Ubuntu 13.10 Saucy Salamander which I received in the January issue of "Linux Pro Magazine". I installed both quickly and anjuta and in both cases the glade window opens and immediately closes. When I type glade at the terminal, the glade window does come up and stay up. In all cases I get the following error messages.
(glade:13283): Gtk-CRITICAL **: gtk_recent_chooser_set_filter: assertion 'GTK_IS_RECENT_FILTER (filter)' failed GladeUI-Message: No displayable values for property GtkEntry::input-purpose GladeUI-Message: No displayable values for property GtkEntry::input-hints GladeUI-Message: No displayable values for property GtkTextView::input-purpose GladeUI-Message: No displayable values for property GtkTextView::input-hints GladeUI-Message: 1 missing displayable value for GtkCellRendererAccel::accel-mode I don't necessarily need glade. Is there any other IDE I can use to create a gnome application? -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1247555 Title: glade crashes on opening a file To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/glade/+bug/1247555/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
