As a temporary work around. 1. Once the machine has entered the desktop, hit Alt+Ctrl+F1. 2. At the prompt type ubuntu and hit return. 3. Type sudo 'nano /etc/X11/xorg.conf' then return 4. Press the down arrow until you get to the line Driver "intel" 5. Change the word intel to i810 6. Press Ctrl+x, then y, then return to save and exit nano 7. Press Alt+Ctrl+F7 8. Press Atl+Crtl+Backspace (to restart the X server and environment) 9. Temporarily fixed :)
