Unity does not use the GTK scaling-factor setting.  Even GTK-based
applications become pretty much unusable if it is set to anything but 1,
at least on my 13" 300 PPI test machine.

A slider to set the GTK text-scaling-factor would be useful for those
GTK applications that can take advantage of it, but beyond the scope of
the high-DPI shell work.
