Public bug reported: I grabbed latest current image (found here : http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/daily/current/) from today.
When it goes to kernel install, it stops saying - translating from french speaking installation : "Impossible to install chosen kernel" ; package "kernel-generic" and here is the log in 4th console - translating from french installation again : "Following packages contains unmet dependencies linux-generic depends on linux-image-generic but won't be installed depends on linux-restricted-modules-generic but won't be installed". I was trying to install a x86_64 version of gutsy under vmware workstation (which I am testing). ** Affects: debian-installer (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- Cannot install ubuntu with alternate image : kernel is missing https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/134025 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
