Public bug reported:

I grabbed latest current image (found here :
http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/daily/current/) from today.

When it goes to kernel install, it stops saying - translating from
french speaking installation :

"Impossible to install chosen kernel" ; package "kernel-generic"

and here is the log in 4th console - translating from french
installation again :

"Following packages contains unmet dependencies
linux-generic depends on linux-image-generic but won't be installed
depends on linux-restricted-modules-generic but won't be
installed".

I was trying to install a x86_64 version of gutsy under vmware
workstation (which I am testing).

** Affects: debian-installer (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
