Public bug reported: I have a Toshiba S55 A5176 laptop.
The Grub2 menu shows up ok. But the only way that I am able to boot Ubuntu 13.10(live or installed) is if I disable the NIC(using BIOS). If the NIC is enabled, then the screen stays black. I am however able to boot in Fedora 20 almost every time. Sometimes, the same issues happens with Fedora too. ** Affects: ubuntu Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1282852 Title: Ubuntu 13.10 does not boot on Toshiba S55 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+bug/1282852/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
