Hi... I experienced the same problem with a midisport 2x2 on a fresh kubuntu Feisty.
The proposed fix by Paddlaren (https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/udev/+bug/27833/comments/12) works fine for me. BTW, this bug still has WHISHLIST status.
