Thanks Ekimia. It is certainly frustrating not being able to use Totem with VA-API or VDPAU. According to Julius in comment #9, MPEG4 part2 (xvid) files will not decode with gst-launch and VA-API. This may be due to the support not landing until after his comment, or because it is not supported by his hardware.
