Public bug reported: Gnome 2 had GUI options to edit users and groups . After Ubuntu moved to Gnome 3, option to edit groups was dropped from GUI mode. Currently only Cinnamon (Linux Mint) offers a GUI to edit groups . Ubuntu can make use some of the code from CInnamon to create a GUI for editing groups.
