I enabled usb-modeswitch logging in /etc/usb_modeswitch.conf, and tried again. After rebooting, the first plugin of the device (where it is not "switched" generates no log by usb-modeswitch at /var/log/usb_modeswitch*). The "second plugin" does generate a log, /var/log/usb_modeswitch.log).
So, it seems to me that usb-modeswitch is not being triggered at all the first time the device is plugged in (rather than usb-modeswitch being triggered and not succeeding in switching the device). Is this then a udev issue? -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1244775 Title: huawei E1962 dongle to be plugged twice To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/usb-modeswitch/+bug/1244775/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
