Public bug reported: Binary package hint: pidentd
Bug https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/pidentd/+bug/74968 didn't fix all the problems. Now I get this message: identd[29469]: s_open("/var/run/identd.pid", O_WRONLY): Permission denied This is because identd is run as identd, not root, and cannot create the pid file in /var/run. Debian has fixed this in 3.0.19.ds1-4 according to bug 438554. url: http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=438554 Ciao! ** Affects: pidentd (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- pidentd: Errors writing pid file https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/133844 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
