Have you tried exiting with pressing Escape? Pressing Enter (copying an empty string) twice also still works fine for me.
About ; and , specificly: These two now have a function in copy mode and hence no more exit copy-mode. From the man-page: ; and , Repeat the last f/F/t/T command in the same/opposite direction. So it's still the case that characters not serving a particular function exit scrollback mode as expected and documented: All keys not described here exit copy mode. Hence closing as invalid. This is probably also the reason why resizing the window exits copy mode: The terminal probably sends some ANSI sequences to screen. ** Changed in: screen (Ubuntu) Status: Incomplete => Invalid -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1274795 Title: no way out of scrollback mode To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/screen/+bug/1274795/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
