I am having problems in Ubuntu Server 12.04. When opening more than one
matlab instance, the VNC server dies and it is not recoverable.  The
problem seems related to this bug report.

It's been >4 years with a known problem with 1.3.9 and both a patch for
the problem and a newer working version (1.3.10).

Who is in charge of maintaining the tightvnc package? This should, at
least, be upgraded for 14.04!

I attach the previously mentioned patch here.
