Looking at this now, and getting sidetracked by RCS confusion .. what is the difference between:
http://bazaar.launchpad.net/~ubuntu-branches/ubuntu/trusty/network- manager/trusty/files and http://bazaar.launchpad.net/~network-manager/network- manager/ubuntu/files ? The latter seems to have the up-to-date code that I get when I "apt- get source" on trusty, no idea what the former is.. Anyway, it seems to above patch has not yet been merged, but so far I have not experienced unclean shutdowns on trusty.
