we believe that there is memory alignment issue with the currently patched qemu instance to run ubuntu-touch emulator, and thus the current default memory allocation is the largest possible to successfully boot. someone who understand qemu/kernel memory maps need to look into the our patched qemu such that we can run both with large kernel images (such as ubuntu kernels) and high RAM allocation.
