Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: xserver-xorg-video-ati

When watching video - if X11 output is chosen instead of Xvideo, this will
cause overheat on:
01:05.0 VGA compatible controller: ATI Technologies Inc ATI Radeon XPRESS 200M
5955 (PCIE)

Tested on Fujitsu-Siemens Amilo A1650g & VLC.
I was not able to find how to make totem use Xv instead of X11.

xorg.conf Device section:
Section "Device"
Identifier "ATI Technologies Inc ATI Radeon XPRESS 200M 5955
(PCIE)"
        Driver "ati"
        Option "DRI" "true"
        Option "EnablePageFlip"
        Option "AccelMethod" "xaa"
        Option "XAANoOffscreenPixmaps"
        Option "DynamicClocks" "on"
        Option "ColorTiling" "on"
        Option "FBTexPercent" "95"
        BusID "PCI:1:5:0"
EndSection

Between Xv & X11 was a 20 Celsius degrees difference.

** Affects: xserver-xorg-video-ati (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
