Sorry to have taken this long, however I wanted to try it twice. I used the first suggestions (Upgrading the BIOS using Dell's "biodisk" and "syslinux memdisk")
I followed the instructions precicely, all went well until I started 3555A05.exe The program started and asked one question only: -Start to flash.........[Y/N]: I entered Y and was rewarded with a flashing cursor PERIOD The first time this happened I waited about an hour before shutting down. second try ditto today I did it all over again, including downloading 3555A05.exe Same result.
