Public bug reported: Steps to recreate bug: 1) install ubuntu with english language 2) then install some other language via language-selector-gnome and make it default (+ delete english locale for the greater sure:) 3) log out and login
What happens? Whole ubuntu system still in english, and in /etc/default/locale you'll see... LANG="en_US.UTF-8" LANGUAGE="en" LC_NUMERIC="ru_RU.UTF-8" LC_TIME="ru_RU.UTF-8" LC_MONETARY="ru_RU.UTF-8" LC_PAPER="ru_RU.UTF-8" LC_IDENTIFICATION="ru_RU.UTF-8" LC_NAME="ru_RU.UTF-8" LC_ADDRESS="ru_RU.UTF-8" LC_TELEPHONE="ru_RU.UTF-8" LC_MEASUREMENT="ru_RU.UTF-8" lol! After manually editing this file to "ru_RU" and "ru", "sudo update-locale", logout & login all Works.
