I continued my checks and found some weird results. Basically, I tried two things: 1. using Knoppix 7.0 2. printing the page as ps, converting it to pdf, printing it to the Kyocera
1. Using Knoppix, I wasn't able to open the .ps-file I provided w/ this bug. So I opened the page again in Knoppix and printed it - it worked. So I returned to Ubuntu, printed the file again as PDF (File - Print - Print to File (PDF)), returned to Knoppix and printed it. It worked (that was different to Ubuntu, where the PDF could not be printed). However, printing the .ps file (the one provided w/ this bug report) directly using lpr / lp lead to the same error (/limitcheck). 2. Following to my success printing the file using Knoppix, I manually converted the .ps file to .pdf (using ps2pdf) - and I could successfully print it using Ubuntu. So it seems, that the ps2pdf application creates a different file which can then be printed correctly. I will attach both files (as "ps2pdf.ps/pdf"); the .ps file cannot be printed using Ubuntu, while the .pdf file can.... ** Attachment added: "ps2pdf source file (not printable)" https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/cups/+bug/1263415/+attachment/3937284/+files/ps2pdf.ps -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1263415 Title: Kyocera FS-1100D cannot print Google Maps - limitcheck --image-- To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/cups/+bug/1263415/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
