I have a Asus G75VW and I've tried 12.04 & 13.10 and the F5 & F6 for
screen brightness doesn't work.

So Ubuntu can't fix this for us, we have to chase this after Upstream?

Personally I thought a big point to Ubuntu was to make for easier end-
user usage and support, so I don't think the end-user should have to
chase the Upstream for fixes, Ubuntu should be helping here to do this.

I would greatly appreciate it if Canonical could get this fixed.
