For Patrik Jansson, the following workaround works:

echo "options asus_nb_wmi wapf=1" | sudo tee
/etc/modprobe.d/asus_nb_wmi.conf

He is using the following configuration:

Adapter [168c:0032] (rev 01)

Laptop: ASUS a550c (ASUS-NotebookSKU)
