I tried different approaches to update the bios of my x121e. But neither running the exe from lenovo under freeDos, nor the booting the iso image from usb stick worked. The recommended way from lenovo to burn the iso on a CD and use it to boot is not a option for me. The x121e does not have a optical drive and I wont buy a external drive just for updating the bios.
A crazy idea is to run the update exe under wine, but the risk to end with a unbootable notebook is too high for me. So I will stay to the current bios version :-/ -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1261123 Title: [Lenovo ThinkPad X121e] Trackpoint and buttons sometimes not working To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1261123/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
