..........................................................................................................UPDATE................................................................................................................
After trying the 12.04, with no success, I tried the earlier releases and found that the only one what is working for my machine is the ubuntu 11.10 ( http://old-releases.ubuntu.com/releases/oneiric/ubuntu-11.10-desktop-i386.iso ) now i have done all the 400 plus updates and it wants me to upgrade to the latest version 12.04.3. what should i do, the 11.10 is no longer supported and the 12.04.3 worked at 1st until i done the 100 or so updates. Any suggestions? I came across this thread.......... http://askubuntu.com/questions/117744/how-can-i-install-on-a-non-pae-cpu-error-kernel-requires-features-not-present ...........and after reading it (and many others about fake PAE install) i was wandering if i should go ahead with installing the 12.04.3 or just go for the fake-pae install. 72retro -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1260856 Title: linux-image-3.8.0-34-generic but it is not installed after update To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux-lts-raring/+bug/1260856/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
