After trying the 12.04, with no success, I tried the  earlier releases and 
found that the only one what is working for my machine is the ubuntu 11.10  ( 
http://old-releases.ubuntu.com/releases/oneiric/ubuntu-11.10-desktop-i386.iso )

now i have done all the 400 plus updates and it wants me to upgrade to the 
latest version 12.04.3.
what should i do, the 11.10 is no longer supported and the 12.04.3 worked at 
1st until i done the 100 or so updates.


Any suggestions?

  ...........and after reading it (and many others about fake PAE install)  i 
was wandering if i should go ahead with installing the 12.04.3 or just  go for 
the fake-pae install.
