The first step should probably be to land all the optimizations we have in progress. What remains is bug 1227739, which still requires platform- api work.
I've only just got my own "manta" so will look to see if there are any obvious performance problems in Mir holding it back. One such issue I can think of is that our Android "fence" support is not yet complete.
