So, this issue has been downgraded to Low importance and the status changed to Incomplete because somebody has noticed that Dave is not running the latest version of the BIOS on his HP ENVY laptop.
This is a generic problem affecting all makes of laptop. The BIOS on my Toshiba Tecra M2 does not support the "Sleep and Charge" feature, so that's not what's causing the battery drain. Let's remind ourselves that this problem did not exist until a kernal update caused it to happen with all flavours of Linux. It does not exist when Windows is the operating system. We do not seem to be getting any closer to the root of the problem. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1098697 Title: [HP ENVY Sleekbook 6-1006sa] High Battery discharge rate when Laptop is off.
