Linux Mint 16 Petra (with Cinnamon 2.0.8), NVidia GeForce 260 GTX, same problem. I didn't face this bug until upgrade to Linux Mint 16 yesterday, before it was Linux Mint 15 Olivia (Cinnamon 1.8).
