I'm changing the status to fix released, since file-roller 2.19.4 did indeed deliver that fix. I've tried renaming a png before archiving, so that file-roller calls the needed application by mime type rather than by extension and it worked. I've currently tried png's, jpg's, txt's, eps's, pdf's, perl scripts, FORTRAN sources and text files without extension. All this has been tested in both file-roller 2.19.4 and 2.19.90 in Gutsy.
** Changed in: file-roller (Ubuntu) Status: Confirmed => Fix Released -- File-roller don't use mime type, also context menu "open with" seems duplicate "view" function. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/61082 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
