Since I made my post above I have switched from Kubuntu 12.04.3 with KDE 4.11.2, which had the problem, to KWheezy 1.3 with KDE 4.8.4, to use a distro based directly off of Debian. Kwheezy, too, exhibits this problem. The "INT" trick works on it as well. KWheezy 1.3 uses the 3.2.0-4-amd64 #1 SMP Debian 3.2.51-1 x86_64 GNU/Linux kernel.
Neither stopping the apper daemon or removing NetworkManager from the system tray resolved the problem. The problem is only a pain when I want to switch from one app to another, but Ctrl-Esc - INT makes it less painful. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/887933 Title: KDE taskbar (the bottom panel) doesn't respond occasionally To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/fglrx-installer/+bug/887933/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
