With SpiderOak 5.0.4 installed and the nepomuk entry for 'fs.inotify.max_user_watches = 524288' commented out, the latest procps update (1:3.2.8-11ubuntu6.3) installed without error on my Ubuntu 12.04 desktop and upstart successfully started. I'll try uncommenting the nepomuk entry now.
