OK, thanks. I'm not aware of running much GUI stuff as root. I do most things from the shell. Anyway, the history of this bug is confusing. What corrective action should a user take when `apt-get upgrade' refers them to this bug? And if it's not epiphany, are people trying to find out what might be creating it instead? Is there anything I and other sufferers can do to help?
