Hi, I support totally this bug report. As you know, Ubuntu received recently a Big brother Award because of the searching online possibilities in Ubuntu.
This situation is due to a lack of communication inside Ubuntu. People that install Ubuntu for the first time don't know that informations are transmitted to the Canonical server. Looking at the privacy policies in the settings is not the first thing a new user thinks to do.
