Checking in with the same exact issue as Captain Chaos. Attempting to
install Ubuntu 12.04, 12.10, 13.10 and Debian 7.1.0 on an MSI GS70 2OD.

VGA: Nvidia GeForce GTX 765M/2GB GDDR5
HDD: 750GB 7200RPM+128GB SSD

Installs were attempted via USB as well as via CDROM.

Attempting to boot live session (Try Ubuntu) fails with "divide error: 0000
[#1] SMP"
Attempting to install fails with "divide error: 0000 [#1] SMP"

I could not get the read out on the Debian attempts, but I would assume
it to be the same.

Various acpi settings were attempted. Including nomodeset, etc with no
indication of a different result. I have not attempted a non-debian
based install, but that will be what I attempt next.

Any insight to this at all?
