A couple of things may be funny about my installation. 1) I came from gentoo where I had had grub on a non-mounted /boot partition. That got frustrating on ubuntu - I kept forgetting to mount /boot before dist-upgrade, so I have reverted to leaving /boot mounted. But I still use grub. 2) When this problem started I tried using the envy script to install nvidia, but it too failed, and failed to clean up properly after itself. I thought I had properly cleared up everything after envy (deleting .nvidia_legacy_installed etc. till you showed me they appeared to still be there by running lrm-video nvidia. Am I weird running the 386 kernel? -- nvidia-glx installation is broken after reboot https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/130832 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
