Same for me, had a working install on unbuntu server 13.04.

Even purging the package fails, i had to comment the db_purge from the
postrm script to be able to purge it. But even after purge/debconf
purge/removing related python packages it will still give an error on
reinstall and needs db_purge to be commented again to be able to be
purged again.

It does however install just fine on a other servers upgraded to 13.10
which never had mumble-django installed. And my servers are puppet
managed so there should be no difference between installs.

Error:
dpkg-statoverride: warning: --update given but
/var/lib/mumble-django/mumble-django.db3 does not exist
dpkg: error processing mumble-django (--configure):
subprocess installed post-installation script returned error exit status 1
Errors were encountered while processing:
 mumble-django

The db does not exist error is also returned by a fresh install on 13.10
so i guess that's not the problem. There must be something left after
package purge.

Anyone knows how to trully reset/purge mumble-django install so it can
be installed fresh again?
